Buddhists Hold Krodhi Kali Prayers At Bodh Gaya
11/21/2008
Bodh Gaya, November 21 (ANI): Buddhists from across the world congregated at Bodh Gaya in India's eastern Bihar state for a special ceremony on Thursday. Bodh Gaya is said to be the place where Lord Buddha gained enlightenment some 2,500 years ago. Devotees said attending the ceremony gave them a lot of satisfaction. That is exactly what baffles most witnesses of the Dudjom Throemai Tshogbum Chhenmo: sure, masses of monks and nuns turn out at Bodh Gaya for grand events like the Nyingma or Kagyu Monlams- after all, it is their "job" to pray and practice. But thousands of "lay" people, all practicing the rather sophisticated Krodikali Chod...
